JEB came home coughing and stuffy, so I gave him a little Mucinex to help thin out all the 'gunk', and that usually helps him feel better. So, at bedtime, a little cough syrup from the dr. to help him sleep, propped him up on really fluffy pillows, and off to sleep he went. BUT it was short lived and he kept coughing and fussing, so he came and sat with me in my chair which worked for a short bit, then we moved to our bed and so on and so forth. WELL, as the night was progressing, his breathing got more rapid and he started wheezing a little bit and he started having a little panic attack-I guess- and started shaking and in general, not doing very well at all.
So, Jn suggested that it might be a good idea to go to the hospital and at least let them ck him out. We have two in Albany, and we didn't have a clue which one so we called our pediatrician at home to ask (he's in our SS class). Got the info we needed and off we went. OF COURSE, when we put him in his car seat and sat him upright, he relaxed and started breathing better, but we went anyway, you know......just in case. Got in the ER, Jn was checking JEB in and giving them all our insurance info, and he was peacefully sleeping in my lap.
So, we decided that we would sit it out and see how he was when they called us back for triage, then WHAM!!!!! BLACH!!!!!! ALL OVER MOMMY and DADDY and the floor!!! He hurled, big time!!! Which of course, then he was fine afterwards! Guess his tummy was hurting, huh????
They even gave me this nice paper shirt to wear, since mine was a total pukey smelling mess! We changed the child and decided we could probably go home.
Got him home and he fell asleep in the chair, all propped up on pillows. He slept great for a couple of hours, then wanted to go to his bed. Slept till 8:00 this morning!
We've even gone to the dr. and got meds and he's feeling much better now!!!
As for mommy and daddy......we're exhausted!!! I think sleeping is in order for today!!! What a way to end our spring break!

This is Joyce. Oh boy. Gotta love the ER clean-up crew. Sarah has done the same thing many a time. Hope you can get a little rest today. Glad JEB is feeling better.
