This last week was our first week of no school. Jn still had school and still does til Thursday of this next week and then he starts the summer schedule of 9-2. I have a full load of students to tutor this summer and have tried to schedule them on Tues/Thur so that on M-W-F, JEB and I can hang out, go swimming, go bowling, go to a movie or whatever we want.
Although, it seems that the LORD is directing our path to go elsewhere this year. While it is not our desire or at least it wasn't at first, GOD is showing us that this is not where HE wants us to be any longer. That saddens both Jn and I, since we've made friends here that will last a lifetime and JEB loves his teachers and has a handful of friends that enjoy playing with him. BUT GOD is so faithful!! There are a couple of schools that we have applies to that are possibilities. One is in ALASKA......yes, I said ALASKA. It would be a great opportunity, but it certainly would be a very, very long trip to get there. 15 days, in fact! But it would certainly be an adventure!! The other school is in south Florida, where we were for 6 yrs and where JEB was born. It's a very large school and one of my very dear friends works there. BUT the biggest advantage that it has?? JEB can go there too!! They have a program for special needs children!! It would be so cool for him to get a Christian education!! Jn and I are so passionate about that and what a blessing it would be!! Pray with us, won't you??
Another piece of news.....this week, the daughter of the elderly lady that I help out with was in town for a few days to visit her. One day, she up and gave us the wonderful gift of an iPad 2 for JEB! What an amazing blessing!!! It just wasn't in our budget, especially since we may be moving and GOD blessed us with it! JEB is used to using one at school with his teachers and therapists, so he is having a blast with it!! GOD is so amazing! HE always gives us just what we need and goes above and beyond what we could even imagine!!
Well, off to enjoy the rest of my Saturday.
